Patience
Patience is the ability to wait, enduring challenges and delays without frustration.
A Thought:
Patience is a sign of trust. Impatience is a sign of doubt.
Patience is trusting the process. Impatience is the undoing of the process.
A Truth:
Patience is not only that we wait, but how we wait.
Intentional actions, not the passing of time reveal one's ability to endure challenges without frustration. What we do determines how we wait.
An Application:
What action can I take as I wait?
Embracing the Process
A Thought:
One of the hindrances to embracing any process in life is our expectations.
Social media influences what we expect from life because it often highlights the results, not the process.
The reality is that most of what we desire requires that we go through a process.
A Truth:
When you are committed to the process, the results become a byproduct of your efforts, not the end goal.
An Application:
What is influencing my expectations?
How can I begin to focus on the process and not the result?
Gratitude
The quality of being thankful for something or someone.
A Thought
Gratitude is a process that is completed in two steps -- communication and expression.
For gratitude to be truly felt, it must be communicated through words and then expressed through actions.
A Truth
Gratitude is a matter of reflection. Sometimes to move forward, we must first look at where we have come from.
An Application
Which step of the gratitude process can I implement better?
